Your own rules

Import a rulebook to get a character sheet, or build a system in the no-code editor.

Import a rulebook

The My rules page takes a PDF, DOCX or ODT rulebook (yours, or a free game). The analysis, done by Striped Dice's assistant, spots attributes, skills, rolls and lists, then produces:

My rules: drop a book, the analysis builds the sheet and its report. My rules: drop a book, the analysis builds the sheet and its report.

  • a character sheet usable in your campaigns;
  • a report: what was covered, the assumptions made, the questions to settle.

Answer the questions, rerun "with my answers": the sheet gets sharper. Count a few minutes for a booklet, about twenty for a big book. Three analyses a day, fifteen books per account.

Extracted content: names and mechanical values (a skill and its base, a weapon and its damage). Never descriptive text, illustrations or scenarios: the book stays the book.

The no-code editor

From Systems, derive an existing system or start from a blank page: sections, tabs, fields (text, number, checkbox, list, gauge, die, table), formulas (str_mod = floor((str - 10) / 2)), rolls. The sheet preview updates live.

A personal system is only visible to you until an administrator publishes it to the catalogue. Renaming a field writes the migration for existing sheets.

Reference lists

A system can carry lists (skills, careers, weapons, spells) that fill the sheet automatically: picking "Longsword" sets its damage. Catalogue systems already have them, and rulebook import produces them.
